Drainage mat — volumetric composite material for drainage. Designed to ensure drainage and perform additional functions (filtering, separating, protective, reinforcing) in various areas of construction, in particular, transport (road, rail, airfield construction), hydraulic engineering, as well as, when laying pipelines, arranging sites for various purposes.
A highly efficient and economical alternative to traditional gravel drainage systems. The drainage composite consists of a volumetric geogrid and a filtering nonwoven material attached to it on both sides.
The drainage mat is a complex mesh structure with geotextiles on one or both sides, depending on the brand.
Non-woven geotextiles with a surface density of 250 and 500 g/m² are used as a coating.
The area of application of the drainage mat covers:
anti-erosion protection of slopes and slopes;
reinforcement of foundations and structural layers of motorways and railways;
arrangement of horizontal (stratal) drainage during the construction of drainage and drainage systems of geotechnical facilities;
arrangement of vertical (trench) drainage during the construction of drainage and drainage systems of geotechnical facilities;
arrangement of gas drainage during the construction of landfills for waste disposal;
as a protective underlying layer under the geomembrane;
drainage and drainage systems for roads, tunnels, underground parts of buildings.
The effect of using a drainage mat
